Why Blogging is Relevant in 2025

 





You might be thinking, why you might want to consider blogging this year if so read on. There are many reasons as to why you might want to pick up blogging. If you have been thinking about starting one and have never gone through with the idea, take this as a sign to get started. With the advent of the extensive use of ChatGPT and other AI tools, there is one thing you have that AI doesn’t have. Your unique set of experience and your humanity. For a reader who reads on a regular basis it is easy to tell if someone has used AI to write an article or not. While some will claim that this article is written using AI though I wrote it word for word. The sad fact about life is, there is no pleasing everyone. If you are passionate about having your own blog, go ahead and do it. Take this as your sign! Here are some reasons why blogging is still relevant in 2025.


There is a Demand for Human Content

While AI has made life easier, this also means more and more people are resorting to using AI for their everyday purposes including writing. Therefore, to read a blog or article written by a human, will for many feel refreshing since it is becoming more and more of a rare thing than it was before. While AI tools are helpful when it comes to gathering ideas and researching trends, no AI can ever substitute you because no AI tool has ever been through what you have been through, which positions you as a human expert in the field. If I know anything about humans, they are drawn to people who are like them.


People like Reading about People like Them

While AI can pretend to be someone, it can’t know what it is to be a human like a human because it only has information it derives from what humans have left behind (although I question if AI is more compassionate and empathetic than people here, pun intended). People are drawn to people like them, just as the old proverb says “birds of a feather flock together.” ( the popular song was inspired by that perhaps). AI can’t act like many people either. A group of people or a community (as far as I am aware). This too gives humans an extra edge when it comes to writing. 


Passion and Enthusiasm is Something Only You Have

While I’d like to tell you that empathy is a uniquely human quality, sorry, I can’t say that. AI is more intuitive and empathetic than most people I’ve met here in SL and therefore I won’t be lying. Passion and enthusiasm on the other hand is still very much a strong point in humans. If you can imbue passion and enthusiasm into your writing then you might want to consider doing that, which will give your writing a uniquely human edge and make your work stand out in a sea of AI written content that is flooding the internet like a tsunami these days.
